ICC Female Staffer Reports Harassment, Writes Letters; Top Executives Fail to Respond

ICC

ICC: A female employee working at the International Cricket Council (ICC) has reportedly raised concerns about harassment at workplace. She has written multiple letters addressing the issue, but as of now, the senior management at the ICC has not responded. It has been reported by ‘CricketNext’ that the female employee had concerns about her safety, which is why she chose to deliver the letters in person rather than sending them via email to the top ICC officials.

Victim gave complaint in-hand

A source said, “She feared her emails could have been tracked by the influential people in the ICC so she went the old-timer way. The entire complaint was typed and printed on an A4 size paper and submitted to a senior ICC official in person.”

Unfortunately, none of the high-ranking officials, including the ICC chairman or CEO, have responded to her emails. It’s important to highlight that apart from the email sent to the ICC legal team, none of the senior officials have taken the time to listen to the female employee’s distressing accounts of workplace harassment.

No response to the complaint

For those unfamiliar with the situation, the female employee had been involved in various projects at the ICC. However, leading up to the T20 World Cup 2021, she encountered significant harassment while working at the ICC headquarters in Dubai. She sought assistance but received no response on each occasion.

Source stated, “The employee wasn’t a new one at the ICC. She has worked for a considerable amount of time and also worked on a project ahead of the T20 World Cup in UAE. The constant interference at work and then no response to multiple reminders or emails or letters did her any good as no one in the ICC ever had a dialogue with her.”
