ICC ODI World Cup 2023: The ODI World Cup in 2023 is the most significant event of the year, and the Indian team has been diligently preparing for it since the beginning of the year. The BCCI selectors have already announced the squad for the tournament. Nonetheless, there were notable players from the Ranji Trophy who were deserving of an opportunity to represent India but were not included in the squad.

Easwaran has previously been a part of the national squad, although he has never had the opportunity to play in an official international match.
4. Dhruv Shorey
Dhruv Shorey is another deserving batsman who merits a call-up to the Indian team following his outstanding performance in the 2023 Ranji Trophy. Representing Delhi, the 31-year-old batsman compiled an impressive tally of 859 runs in just 12 innings, boasting a remarkable average of over 95. He also registered three centuries and two half-centuries during the season. In the tournament, he emerged as the fourth-highest run-scorer overall.
3. Arpit Vasavada
Vasavada emerged as the leading run-scorer for his team and secured the second-highest run tally in the tournament. He amassed an impressive total of 907 runs in 15 innings, maintaining a noteworthy average of over 75. During this period, he notched up three centuries and three half-centuries.
2. Akash Deep
Akash Deep, an impressive bowler who showcased outstanding performances in the Ranji Trophy, played a pivotal role in Bengal’s runner-up finish in the season with his pace attack. This right-arm seamer claimed a remarkable 41 wickets in just 10 matches, establishing himself as the most successful pacer in the tournament. He secured the seventh position on the bowler’s leaderboard with an exceptional average of only 20.09.
1. Shams Mulani
Shams Mulani was a standout performer in the 2023 Ranji Trophy. The left-arm spinner from Mumbai was exceptional, claiming 46 wickets in just 7 matches, at an impressive average of 23.89. His remarkable performance included 4 four-wicket hauls and 2 ten-wicket hauls across these 7 matches, making him the second-highest wicket-taker in the season.
