ICC ODI World Cup 2023: The Pakistan team is in all sorts of trouble right now. They have won two matches but are looking completely shambolic at the moment. Their path to the knockout stage will be really tough from now on.
Their batsmen are not scoring runs while the bowlers are not able to take wickets. But the real highlight of this campaign by Pakistan is the post-match comment made by Mickey Arthur after Pakistan’s loss against India.
The Head coach of the Pakistan team stated that this World Cup is feeling like a BCCI event rather than an ICC event. The main reason for that was that the DJ at Ahmedabad did not play “Dil Dil Pakistan.” This statement was bound to get trolled sooner rather than later and it looks like that even former cricket legends are not staying behind in trolling this statement by the coach.
Micheal Vaughan Trolls Mickey Arthur
Former English skipper and opener Micheal Vaughan decided to troll the statement by Mickey Arthur. Vaughan hosts a cricket podcast alongside Adam Gilchrist called “Club Prairie Fire.” The English legend made the remark during one of the tapings.
During the podcast, Vaughan stated that “Rohit Sharma asked the Ahmedabad DJ to not play ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ because he knew if Pakistan heard that song, they would win the game. So obviously Rohit told DJ to not play that inspirational song so India can win.”
It was a hilarious dig at the Pakistan head coach and even left Adam Gilchrist smiling.
India Favorite To Win ICC ODI World Cup 2023
Vaughan further stated that India are heavy favorite and will steamroll the tournament. He also added that their batting lineup is the best and they have the best spinners with perfect seamers for these conditions.
