ICC ODI World Cup 2023: The biggest tournament of cricket is right around the corner. Everyone is getting their predictions out in the open regarding the World Cup. Many experts and ex-players have showcased their opinions.
And who is better than Suresh Raina, former ICC ODI World Cup winner, to express his predictions regarding the upcoming World Cup. The former Indian star all-rounder is confident ahead of the tournament.
He is so confident that he thinks, if India reaches the finals, it won’t matter who is in front of them. He also hailed Virat Kohli as the Big gun and named two trump card players for team India in the tournament.

According to Suresh Raina, the importance of top order will be immense in the tournament. He stated that Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli need to be in form if India wants to win.
He also thinks that India has a very solid middle order that will benefit tenfold if the top order is clicking. Raina further stated that Virat Kohli will be important for the team and will decide the tournament for India.
“Virat Kohli is a gun player, he is batting pretty well. If he stays 35-40 overs in batting, India will have a great chance to win this World Cup.” Raina stated.
Trump Cards For ICC ODI World Cup 2023
But according the Raina, the two trump card players for team India in the tournament will be the leaders of their respective bowling departments. He thinks that prime pacer Jasprit Bumrah and spin wizard Kuldeep Yadav will be the trump cards for Team India.
Considering the form both of these players are in, we can’t blame Suresh Raina for thinking that. After all, he knows better than anyone how to win a World Cup. India is also looking to face Sri Lanka in the finals of the Asia Cup 2023.
