ICC ODI World Cup 2023: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary, Jay Shah, has made an interesting statement as the much awaited ODI World Cup in India kicks off on Thursday. In stadiums across the country, the BCCI would offer free mineral and packaged drinking water to all spectators.
Jay Shah informed fans of cricket of this information via his official social media account, X (formerly known as Twitter). He urged spectators to drink plenty of water and take in the ODI World Cup games.
“Exciting times ahead as we anticipate the first ball of @ICC @cricketworldcup 2023! I am proud to announce that we’re providing FREE mineral and packaged drinking water for spectators at stadiums across India. Stay hydrated and enjoy the games! Let’s create unforgettable memories during CWC 2023,” Jay Shah wrote on X.
This remarkable tournament’s opening match took place on Thursday at 2 PM IST in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, pitting England against New Zealand.
On a different note, on Sunday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, the Men in Blue, captained by Rohit Sharma, will play their first ODI World Cup match against Australia.
