ICC T20 World Cup 2024 AFGvsSA Semifinal 1: Kagiso Rabada has been the MVP for South Africa in this tournament so far. In every close match, he has turned things in favor of South Africa with his brilliant spell.
He was once again on fire against Afghanistan in the first semi-final as the Afghans buckled down on just 56 runs. The Proteas chased down the target in just 9 overs with the loss of only one wicket.
Afghanistan was struggling from the first over when they lost Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Gulbadin Naib cheaply. But it was the over of Rabada after that completely blocked any chance of a comeback.

Rabada came back to bowl to fourth over of the innings and clean bowled Ibrahim Zadran on the very first delivery. It was a perfect in-swinger to which Zadran had no answer at all.
Mohammad Nabi came to bat and had the responsibilty to tie down the inning and stabilize it. But Rabada had different plans as another in-swinger buckled down the stumps of Nabi who was completely perplexed by it.
It was a maiden over by Rabada with two wickets in it. It shocked the Afghans so much that they were not able to come back after that. Rabada was not able to complete his four overs as the Afghans buckled down before that.
History Made!
This is the first time that the South African team has qualified for a major ICC tournament final. They will now face the winner of India and England from the second semi final.
South Africa has a very good chance of winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 as the Barbados pitch will suit their batsmen. No matter what, we are in for a very intense final match.
