ICC T20 World Cup 2024: The Indian cricket team qualified for the Super 8 round with a near-perfect record. They played some of the best cricket and did not lose a single match in the group stages.
The Men In Blues was the only team that was able to bat decently at Nassau County Stadium. The bowling department was on fire against every team and opted out India of for various troublesome situations.
But as we all know, the real test will start now as the best 8 teams from the group stages will face each other for that semi-final spot. India is placed in the first group with some interesting rivals.
An Old Rival And The Biggest Foe!
India is in Group 1 of the Super 8 round alongside Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and the mighty Australia. Bangladesh is one of the oldest rivals of the Indian team and we have seen that they somehow always get a second wind against the Blues in these competitions.
But the real challenge will be Australia, who have become the biggest thorn in our journey to glory. In 2023, India lost two major ICC tournament finals against Australia in a heartbreaking fashion.
So, will this be the time that India leave behind its demon and finally quench the Kangaroos? India will surely like that it will not only be revenge but a huge boost before the semi-final round.
