ICC T20 World Cup 2024: The epic clash between India Vs Pakistan is right around the corner. On Sunday, these two sworn rivals will face each other to determine their future in the tournament. For Pakistan, a victory is essential to keep their Super 8 hopes alive. For India, a win will secure that spot.
Almost every expert and fans have their opinion about the game and former Pakistan player Kamran Akmal also cited his opinion. Former Wicket Keeper criticized India’s batting order and the role of Virat Kohli in the team.
We all know that Akmal has been a fan of Kohli and has always praised him. So, his criticizing Kohli and Indian team management is quite a shocker and he is not the only one who feels like this.
‘India Making Big Mistake’
In the first match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Rohit Sharma and ICT management shuffled the batting order and opened with Virat Kohli and the skipper himself. Which was not a shocker but is not a place where Kohli thrives.
Akmal thinks the same and stated that Kohli should be at number 3 always. He stated “I don’t think the batting order is correct. Virat Kohli can take the pressure at No.3 and finish the match. That is very important for Team India. Yashasvi Jaiswal should open the batting.
Kohli should come at 3. If India sticks to this batting order, then they may get stuck at some point. Kohli holds one end up and finishes off the game. I think India is making a mistake by opening with Kohli.”
ICC T20 World Cup 2024: The Epic Clash
The India Vs Pakistan match will be played in the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York which has been quite unsafe for the batsmen so far. But these two teams will look past that and will give their all.
Kohli was dismissed after scoring just 1 run in the opening match against Ireland and would like to forget that and get back in form. If India decides to stick with the same order, Kohli has to adapt soon or it will be too late for India.
