ICC T20 World Cup 2024: India won their third consecutive match to become the third team to qualify for Super 8. It has been a tough ride for India as they had to carve out close victories against Pakistan and the USA.
This victory for India also means that Pakistan still has a glimmer of hope in the tournament. They now have to defeat Canada by a big margin and hope that Ireland defeat the USA by a huge margin as well.
While Group A is tense and the decider might go to the last match, the other groups are the same. England are struggling to make it out of the group stage after their horrific loss against Australia.
New Zealand has always been a strong contender in these tournaments. But their loss against Afghanistan has placed them at the bottom of their group. West Indies and Afghanistan are on 4 points and one victory will allow them entry into the next round eliminating New Zealand for good.
Group D is the most intense group. Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and Nepal are still in the hunt for that second spot. Sri Lanka has been knocked out of the tournament unless some miracle takes place.

So far, India, Australia, and South Africa have secured their place in the Super 8. Scotland, the West Indies, Afghanistan, and the USA only need one more win to secure their place as well.
If Scotland somehow grinds a result against Australia, it would mean that England will be knocked out of the tournament. Afghanistan and West Indies’ advancement will mean that New Zealand will be knocked out. And Pakistan is also on the verge of getting knocked out as the United States has surprised everyone.
