ICC T20 World Cup 2024: It looks like the USA fairytale will continue and the Pakistan team will once again have to regroup and think hard about the future. Because it looks like even the fate is against the Pakistan team making it out of the group stage.
After a solid win against Canada and India defeating the United States by a good margin, things were finally looking up for Pakistan. But as the tournament shifted to Florida, they were confronted with another problem.
Florida has been experiencing heavy rainfall for the past weeks now and all the remaining matches are in danger. It would mean that Ireland, the USA, and India will share one point each if the matches are washed out. But what does that do for the USA and Pakistan?
Super 8 Dream Over?
The United States team is in second place with 4 points with Pakistan trailing them in 3rd place with 2 points. Pakistan team now has a better NRR courtesy of Surya Kumar Yadav’s half-century.
But it won’t matter considering all four remaining matches in Florida are on the verge of getting washed out. Heavy rainfall is predicted for all four matches in Central Broward Park which means Pakistan will miss the Super 8 while the USA will proceed to the next round.
If this happens, it will not only be disappointing but a huge wake-up call for the PCB. They need to make changes because they should not be in a situation like this in the first place.

With West Indies defeating New Zealand in an epic clash, they have become the fourth team to qualify for the Super 8. They have joined the likes of India, South Africa, and Australia.
