Former England skipper Michael Vaughan tore apart Babar Azam after Pakistan's shameful exit from ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

ICC T20 World Cup 2024: After a washed-out match between the USA and Ireland sealed the fate of the Pakistan team, they have been criticized worldwide. After all, when a world-class team like them fails to even progress from the group stage, there is something very wrong somewhere.

All the fans and experts cite their opinions and blame the loss on either one individual or the whole team. But one player that is constantly being criticized and trolled is Pakistan skipper Babar Azam.

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan also jumped in and stated that Babar is not in the Top 15 players in the world. Not only that, he also criticized his captaincy and stated that Shaheen Afridi should be the skipper again.

‘Can’t Beat India’

Vaughan has never shied away from citing his opinions to the world. He is brutal with words and always says what he thinks. And considering his experience and cricketing mind, he has been proven right most of the time.

He tore apart the Pakistan team after their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 exit. Vaughan stated that Pakistan should not blame the weather and it is all their fault. According to him, Pakistan should have beaten India.

He also stated that Pakistan is way off from being an elite whiteball team. The England legend also stated that the loss against the USA was typical of Pakistan’s performance, where they succumbed under pressure.

Joy Bhattacharjya also cited his opinion and stated that it is an average Pakistan team and has no match-winner. According to him, Babar is a good ODI player but not a good T20i batsman.

Vaughan also chipped in and stated that Gar Kirsten should make changes and develop a culture around the team. He has faith that a massive cricket nation like Pakistan can rise again and compete against the World.
