ICC T20 World Cup 2024: The Men In Blues are ready to embark on their second stage of the tournament. After a near-perfect group stage, the team is ready to face the new challenge and enter the semi-finals.

The Super 8 round will be tough as India will face teams like West Indies and Australia. It will be a harder challenge as compared to the group stage but the Men In Blues are ready for it.

After the disappointment of the ODI World Cup 2023 final, every player will do anything in their power to not feel that distraught again. Skipper Rohit Sharma is most keen on that and his pep talk ahead of the next round will give you goosebumps.

A video posted by BCCI on their ‘X’ channel saw skipper shedding light on ICT’s preparation and plans ahead of the Super 8 round. He stated that every player wants to do something for the team and is taking his role very seriously.

“There is real keenness in the group to go and do something special. It clearly shows that everyone wants to make a difference and we take our skill sessions quite seriously. There is something to achieve in every skill session that you do.

Once we play the first game, we are going to play the next two in 3-4 days. It is going to be a little hectic but we are used to all of this. We travel and play a lot so that is not going to be an excuse,” Rohit Sharma stated.

Focus On Ourselves

Rohit Sharma further stated “We will look to focus on our skill and what we need to do as a team. We have played a lot of games here. Everyone understands what they need to do. Everyone is looking forward and are excited at the same time.”

Indian team would like to end the trophy drought that has been going on for a decade. Since 2013, the Men In Blues have always performed brilliantly in ICC tournaments, but always fails at the last moment.
