ICC Test Ranking: The International Cricket Council (ICC) releases fresh rankings for Test cricket matches every Wednesday, which include player rankings. In the latest Test ranking, there have been significant changes in the bowling category. Australia team captain Pat Cummins, who held the number one position for four years, has now been replaced by England fast bowler James Anderson, who is now the world’s number one Test bowler.
Anderson Takes Over as World’s No.1 Test Bowler
Anderson, who is the best bowler of the England team, has set a new record at his age. He recently took seven wickets in a Test match series against New Zealand, which helped him to claim the top position in the rankings. Anderson has now become the fifth-oldest player in the world to achieve this feat. In doing so, he has broken the 87-year-old record of Australian veteran bowler Clary Grimmett.

Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has moved up to the second position in the Test bowling rankings. He has bowled exceptionally well in the ongoing four-Test series between India and Australia. Ashwin is now only two points behind Anderson and has the potential to become the world’s number one bowler if he continues to perform consistently. Meanwhile, India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja continues to hold the top position in the all-rounder rankings.
