ICC Test Rankings: India become World Number 1 in Test Rankings for the first time under Rohit-Dravid pair

ICC Test Rankings: India dethrones Australia to become Number one in ICC Test Rankings on Tuesday. India now have 2,690 points and a rating of 115 after 32 Tests in the latest cycle while Australia now sit at the second spot with 3,231 points and rating points of 111 in 29 matches.

Where are other teams placed?

Ben Stokes’ England are ranked third in Test as of now with 106 rating points while the inaugural World Test Championship winners New Zealand find themselves at the 4th place with 100 points.

South Africa are currently at the third spot in the WTC table are placed at the fifth spot in ICC Test Rankings with 85 points.

These updates came weeks before the most-awaited India-Australia Border-Gavaskar Trophy which is schedule to begin next month.

WTC permutations and combinations

India and Australia are set to lock horns for the four Tests which will be their final games ahead of the World Test Championship. If Australia take the series then the WTC final will be between Australia and South Africa, adding if Proteas win their series against West Indies. Or if retain the Border-Gavaskar trophy then, India and Australia will meet once again in London for the prestigious cup.
