Zimbabwe stunned West Indies, the favorites who were looking in control for 75% of the match. This win will greatly boost Zimbabwe’s road to the World Cup qualification. Sikandar Raza was once again the hero with both bat and ball in his hands.
Even though the result might make it seem like it was a comfortable win for Zimbabwe, let us tell you that it was not. The game was played in so many margins. Whether it be dropped chances by West Indies or by, the fighting spirit of Zimbabwe, or by no DRS option, that could have changed a decision in favor of West Indies. The match was tense throughout, and the result was nothing less than ecstatic.

Zimbabwe got a slow yet steady start. They were scoring runs slowly, but they were scoring runs. But after 4 wickets fall very quickly, Raza and Ryan Burl put on an 87 runs partnership to stabilize the Zimbabwe innings. Raza stayed till the end and helped Zimbabwe reach a total of 268.
West Indies got a brilliant start and were 43 for 0 in 7 overs. But Zimbabwe got two quick wickets, which was the story of the match. Whenever West Indies was in control, Zimbabwe got the breakthrough. Not dropping catches like West Indies also helped them in a way.

ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2023: Super Six Set
The Super Six stage is set now, as all 6 teams are confirmed. The top 2 teams from these 6 will qualify for the ICC World Cup 2023. The battle will be intense as tournament favorite West Indies can get knocked out now.
Zimbabwe, Netherlands, and West Indies have qualified from Group A, with Zimbabwe at the top. Sri Lanka, Scotland, and Oman have qualified from Group B. The final matches of Group B are being played right now, but they won’t change the standings.
