Asian Games 2023: As the news of the Indian football team missing the Asian Games 2023 came out, everyone in the country was angry. The angry tweets from the fans were unstoppable after the sports ministry declined India to participate in the Asian games.
This will be the second time that the Blue Tigres will miss the football in Asian Games. The sports ministry used the same excuse as the last season of the team not qualifying for the top 8 teams in Asia.
Amidst all the chaos and anger, Indian football team head coach, Igor Stimac has appealed to PM Narendra Modi and requested him to give the green light for the Asian Games.
Will Fight For Honor and Pride
The Uruguayan coach appealed to the Prime Minister and addressed the Sports Minister Anurag Thakur as well. He requested both of them to allow the Indian football team to participate in the tournament as they will fight for the nation’s pride and flag.
He further stated that he does not know if anyone has briefed Prime Minister about the situation or not. But the Indian team is being deprived of participating in the tournament where the key global sport is played.
Asian Games 2023: The Ultimate Dream
The head coach also mentioned that India hosted the U-17 FIFA World Cup in 2017. And promised the Prime Minister that if he keeps on supporting the team, India will also qualify for the World Cup.
He further stated that how PM’s speech about Kylian Mbappe touched the hearts of millions of fans around the globe. And as the national side has worked very hard for the last few years, his support will make all the difference.
