IND vs AUS 1st T20I 2022: India and Australia engaged in a high-scoring match in the first Twenty20 International of the three-match series on Tuesday in Mohali (September 20). Chasing a massive total of 209, Australia won the match as they got to a flying start thanks to Cameron Green, who managed to score a career-high fifty in just 26 balls. India, on the other hand, quickly picked up wickets in the second half of the innings and roared back into the match. But, Matthew Wade’s cameo snatched the match from India.

However, a video is doing rounds of the Internet in which Rohit can be seen grabbing Kartik’s neck. This happened just after Maxwell’s wicket as Rohit felt that Dinesh didn’t appeal as much as it should have been. For India, Umesh Yadav was the player with the ball during that time. It’s interesting to note that two wickets came via DRS, when the hosts got rid of Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell in the 12th over, but Dinesh’s distant appeal made it confusing initially.

Rohit and team thought that the batsmen’s are out and it eventually turned out that the batsmen have indeed fallen. But, Dinesh’s distant appeal made it all confusing initially.
However, more than the wickets, the amusing footage of Rohit Sharma gripping Karthik’s neck after Maxwell was out, drew everyone’s attention. After accepting Smith’s catch, Karthik wasn’t as appealing, and the same thing happened when he caught Maxwell from behind the stumps. Rohit Sharma went up for the review after the umpire dismissed the appeal on both occasions because he was certain he had been dismissed.
