IND vs AUS 2nd T20I 2022: In the second T20I of the series against Australia that was cut short by rain, Team India triumphed by a margin of six wickets. The Rohit Sharma-led team successfully chased down 91 runs in an eight-over encounter in Nagpur with four balls remaining, and the captain contributed with a crucial unbeaten 46-run knock off just 20 deliveries. While everything was going on, Dinesh Karthik put an impressive end to the game for India by smashing a six and a four in the first two balls of the final over to give the hosts the win.

India needed to need 9 runs in order to win the game’s final over, but Karthik hit Daniel Sams for a maximum on the first ball as the Australian bowler pitched the ball fuller on the leg-stump. Karthik sent the delivery in the direction of the fine leg to reduce the required runs from 9 to 3.
Sams changed the pace slightly but kept the pitch short, giving the Indian batsman plenty of time to get on top of the delivery and smash it into the deep midwicket boundary for a game-winning four.

The match was previously delayed because it rained nonstop in Nagpur earlier that day. Due to wet outfields and rain, the match began at 09:45 PM. Axar Patel was once again India’s star in the eight-over match, scooping up two wickets while giving up only 13 runs (Australia scored at a run rate of 11.2).
