IND vs AUS: In the second ODI against Australia, Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav displayed his prowess by smashing four consecutive sixes, following the remarkable centuries scored by Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill. Yadav initially had a slow start, accumulating only four runs from nine balls, but he later unleashed his power against his Mumbai Indians teammate, Cameron Green, during the 44th over of the match.
Suryakumar Yadav goes berserk
Suryakumar Yadav‘s onslaught began with a powerful pick-up shot over deep backward square leg off the first ball. He followed it up with a scoop shot over fine-leg and another six over deep extra cover on the next two deliveries. The fourth ball witnessed a similar outcome as Yadav flicked it deep over mid-wicket. Following these four consecutive sixes, India added two more runs, bringing their total to 26 runs in that over.
Steve Smith’s extended discussion with Cameron Green caused a momentary delay in the game, disrupting Suryakumar Yadav’s rhythm, resulting in only a single on the fifth delivery. KL Rahul then concluded the over with a single, contributing to India’s total of 26 runs in that over. Suryakumar Yadav achieved his half-century in just 24 balls.
