IND vs AUS: The World Test Championship campaign of the Indian team came to a close when Mohammad Siraj was dismissed, highlighting once more that the team heavily relies on its top players. This was India’s second consecutive appearance in WTC Final, and also the second loss. Just after the game, a video has now gone viral on social media which shows the Indian camp’s mood after the heartbreaking defeat.
Sad faces gloom after India’s defeat
Team India began faltering during the initial session of the fifth and final day of the WTC finals, exhibiting signs of surrender. Regrettably, in recent ICC tournaments, Team India has consistently left Indian fans disappointed. Following this defeat, a sense of mourning permeated the atmosphere within the Team India camp.
Similar to the previous edition, Team India made it to the finals of the WTC this year. In the previous final, they faced New Zealand, and this time, it was Australia against whom the Indian team stood, with the match ending in the same result. The Australian team managed to dismiss the Indian team in the final of the WTC during the second session on the last day, winning by a margin of 209 runs.
This defeat left many players of Team India disheartened. Despite the tremendous efforts to reach the WTC finals, Team India once again had to face disappointment. The performance of the Indian team in this match was highly disappointing. Both Team India captain Rohit Sharma and former Indian captain Virat Kohli were visibly emotional following the defeat, and the faces of other team players also reflected the disappointment they felt.
