Jadeja and Steve Smith hugs in middle of game
After the quick wicket of Shreyas Iyer for four, the Indian team’s situation became precarious, and the partnership between the Indian captain, Virat Kohli, and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was crucial for India’s chances of survival in the Test match.
During the second session of play, Jadeja and Kohli were under immense pressure to rescue India from their precarious situation. However, Jadeja managed to share a lighthearted moment with Steve Smith, one of Australia’s premier fielders. On the final ball of the 40th over, Jadeja hit the ball toward cover and attempted to take a quick single.
Kohli sent him back, and as Jadeja scrambled to make it back to the crease, he accidentally collided with Steve Smith, who was positioned nearby in case the wicketkeeper missed the ball. Despite the collision, the two players turned it into a good-natured moment, hugging each other and shaking hands before getting back to the game.
