IND vs AUS: Men in Blue and Australia are currently locking horns at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. After winning the toss and opting to field first, the Indian team did a good job as they restricted Aussies for 188 runs only. However, the Kangaroos counter-attacked at the start of the second innings itself. Star bowler Mitchell Starc took the wickets of Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav in consecutive balls to dismantle the start.

Mitchell Starc’s fiery start

On the chase of 189, India lost opener Ishan Kishan (3 off 8) just on the last ball of second over. Virat Kohli, then, entered the ground with thunderous welcome as crowd anticipated a special and big knock from him today after the early setback. He also smashed a boundary in his brief knock. However, Smith called in Starc to bowl the fifth over and that is when the momentum shifted completely to Aussies.

Virat appeared to struggle constantly against Starc and then just on the fifth ball of the over, he was dismissed by Starc through an LBW. Virat failed in determining the length, eventually losing his wicket after scoring 4 off 9 balls. He quickly started walking from the crease as it was evident instantly that he been out. Suryakumar Yadav (0 off 1) then entered the ground however, a similar inswinger from Starc sent him packing as well. He opted for DRS but couldn’t save his wicket.

Earlier, Indian team opted to field first after winning the toss. Bowlers did a commendable job as they restricted the visitors for just 188 runs. Since Rohit Sharma is not playing the match due to family commitments, Hardik Pandya has been appointed as the captain.
