India and Australia are facing each other as the last test before they start their ICC ODI World Cup 2023 campaign. These two teams will face each other in their opening World Cup match as well.
While the first wicket of Shami was assisted by KL Rahul‘s masterful captaincy, the second wicket was all him. He bowled a peach of a delivery that left the great Steve Smith dumbfounded.
A Peach Of A Delivery
We all know, that Shami is known for his outswingers in the early overs. Even the ground of Mohali assists the bowlers in the opening stages and after that, it is a batting paradise. But our pacer had other ideas.
Steve Smith was set on the crease by the 22nd over and was playing on 41 runs. Just when it looked like he would cruise onto his half-century, Shami bowled a perfect inswinging delivery one could ask for.
The ball started from outside off stump and ended when it unrooted Smith’s leg stump from the ground. It was a devious swing that no batsmen in the world could have played. Considering the delivery was bowled in the 22nd over on the flat track of Mohali, it becomes even more impressive.

The netizens went bonkers over the dismissal and praised the medium pacer all over social media. One fan wrote “Mohammed Shami hacker bhai hacker. Hacker,” sarcastically stating that Shami had some kind of cheat code.
Other fans also came out and stated that he should start in the ODI World Cup.
