Shami uproots the stumps

In the first ODI match between India and Australia in Mumbai, the Indian team won the toss and chose to field first. Since regular captain Rohit Sharma was absent from the squad due to family commitments, Hardik Pandya, the talented all-rounder, was leading the team. However, Indian bowlers did not disappoint and continued taking wickets at regular intervals, ensuring that the visitors don’t get too ahead.

One such wicket involved Mohammed Shami’s exceptional delivery with an excellent seam position left Cameron Green bewildered, as the ball snuck past the outside edge and hit the top of the off-stump in the 30th over. The Australian team had been going steady until Shami’s delivery caused a domino effect, resulting in the team collapsing from 129/3 to 188 all out. Overall, Shami grabbed three wickets while giving just 17 runs in 3 overs.
