IND vs AUS: Ravindra Jadeja, India’s star cricketer, made a triumphant return to the national team, scoring a five-wicket haul in the first innings and a fine half-century in the second. This achievement surpasses Kapil Dev’s record of four instances of a five-wicket haul and a Test half-century. Jadeja celebrated his triumph by bringing out his signature sword celebration.
Ravindra Jadeja makes a stunning comeback
This return was a long time coming for Jadeja, who suffered a knee injury during the Asia Cup and underwent surgery, causing him to miss the T20 World Cup. However, there was no sign of his injury during his recent performance, as he dismantled Australia’s renowned batting lineup with five wickets for 47 runs in 22 overs.
Jadeja continued his dominant performance on day two, with an unbeaten half-century while established players like KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, and Virat Kohli all fell early. He has been in outstanding form in home Tests over the past three years, averaging 77.75 with the bat and 20 wickets at an average of 14.70 with the ball.
