IND vs AUS: India and Australia clashed at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai for the first of the three match ODI series. Surprisingly, renowned actor Rajnikanth was seen at the Wankhede Stadium, watching the match. He was accompanied by Amol Kale, the chief of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), who had invited him to the match.

Rajinikanth watches IND vs AUS 1st ODI

Amol Kale expressed his excitement about Rajnikanth’s upcoming visit, stating that it would be a great honor for the association to have the 72-year-old actor present at the iconic stadium after a long time. Speaking to the media, he said, “I had invited legendary actor Rajnikant ji, and he has accepted our request. It will be a great honour for us as he will be coming to Wankhede Stadium after a long time.”

Taking to Twitter, MCA posted, “Thalaiva in the house. The President of Mumbai Cricket Association, Mr. @Amolkk1976 in conversation with the Superstar @rajinikanth during the #INDvAUS game at the Wankhede #MCA #Mumbai #Cricket #IndianCricket #Wankhede #BCCI.” Rajnikanth showed up at the Wankhede Stadium in style wearing a white polo shirt and black pants, along with his iconic glasses.

Rajinikanth, who was last seen on the big screen in the 2021 Tamil film Annaatthe, is currently busy shooting for his next film titled Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Alongside Rajinikanth, the film also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Ramya Krishnan in important roles. Fans are eagerly waiting for the film’s release, which is expected later this year.
