IND vs AUS: The inaugural ODI encounter between India and Australia is currently underway at Mohali. This series holds significant importance for the players as it serves as a crucial preparation for the upcoming ODI World Cup, necessitating strong performances to boost their confidence ahead of the global event. However, it seems like Shreyas Iyer did not have a good comeback on the field after suffering through a back spasm.

During the match, Captain KL Rahul entrusted the ninth over to Shardul Thakur when Australia was rebuilding the innings after losing Marsh on the first ball. Warner managed to score a boundary off the first ball of the over. However, Shardul made a strong comeback by bowling two dot balls. Unfortunately, Warner struck another boundary on the fourth ball. The fifth ball was delivered effectively, resulting in no runs scored.
On the sixth ball, the ball went straight to Shreyas Iyer, who was in the right position to make the catch. Howeverr, Shreyas Iyer dropped the catch, visibly frustrating Shardul Thakur. At that moment, Warner had only amassed 14 runs, and Australia’s score stood at 40 runs for 1 wicket. Dropping Warner’s catch offered him a valuable reprieve. Warner capitalised on this opportunity and went on to score a half-century against the Indian team.
