Now, in 2023, or 63 years later, Green-Khwaja has surpassed these titans’ previous record by partnering on 208 runs, shattering it.

Kim Hughes and Allan Border, who scored 222 runs together in Chennai in 1979–1980, hold the record for Australia’s highest partnership in Test matches played in India. Now, in this instance, Green and Khawaja are ranked second with 208 runs.
