IND vs AUS WTC Final 2023: India finds itself in a precarious situation during the final of the World Test Championship against Australia at the Kennington Oval in London. Having already conceded 469 runs in the first innings, their batting line-up struggled and was reduced to 158 for six on the second day. The early dismissal of wicket-keeper batsman KS Bharat on just the second ball of the day added to India’s woes.

KS Bharat dismissed early
Bharat fell victim to an impressive delivery from Scott Boland, who bowled him out clean. Boland executed a remarkable ball on a good length, angling back into Bharat, who was only partially forward in his defensive stance. In doing so, Bharat unintentionally created a small gap between his bat and pad. Exploiting this gap cleverly, the ball sneaked through and crashed into the top of the middle stump, leaving Bharat out of the game early on.
This dismissal further increased India’s challenges in the match as they faced an uphill battle to recover and make a competitive total. Following Rishabh Pant’s absence from the Indian Test team due to injuries sustained in a car accident, KS Bharat took his place as the wicket-keeper. However, as soon as Bharat was dismissed, Rishabh Pant’s name began trending on Twitter.
