IND vs BAN Asia Cup 2023: In the ongoing Asia Cup 2023, India is facing Bangladesh in the final Super 4s match. India secured a spot in the final by defeating Sri Lanka by 41 runs on Tuesday, September 12th. On the same day, Bangladesh was eliminated from the tournament due to their position on the points table. However, during the toss today, an amusing incident happened when skipper Rohit Sharma forgot the names of changes in lineup.
Rohit Sharma struggles to recall the names
Regarding the match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to let Bangladesh bat first, offering another opportunity for the bowlers to shine in the tournament. However, what raised eyebrows was his apparent forgetfulness when asked about the changes made to his team. He momentarily struggled to recall the substitutions but eventually mentioned that Virat, Hardik, Siraj, Bumrah, and Kuldeep would be sitting out.
After a brief pause, he then went on to name the players who would replace the aforementioned ones. He said at the toss, “We have made five changes. Virat, Hardik, Siraj, Bumrah and Kuldeep are out. Tilak makes his debut. Shami and Prasidh also come in. Suryakumar also gets a game.”
