Kuldeep Yadav breaks several records
Kuldeep took three 5-wicket hauls in his career in just his seventh Test match, severely hindering Bangladesh’s batting order. Kuldeep’s performance allowed India to bowl out the hosts for a pitiful total of just 150 runs, giving them a massive first innings lead of 254 runs and putting them in a strong position to win the game.
With a stunning spell, Kuldeep has broken all previous records, surpassing players like Anil Kumble and Ravichandran Ashwin. Kuldeep’s 5/40 are the best ever by an Indian spinner against Bangladesh in the longest version of the game. The only other Indian spinners to take a 5-fer in Test format against Bangladesh are Kuldeep, Ashwin, and Sunil Joshi.

Which other player has achieved this feat?
Kuldeep is the seventh bowler from India to achieve the feat in a Test match against Bangladesh altogether. In addition to Kuldeep, Ashwin, and Joshi, Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan, Ishant Sharma, and Umesh have all succeeded in the feat. Only Zaheer (3) and Irfan, two Indian bowlers, have achieved the feat repeatedly (2).
