IND vs BAN: Known as one of the most passionate players on the field, former Indian captain Virat Kohli, 34, rarely holds back when speaking his mind. He is not one to hold back when speaking his mind. That is why on Day 2 of the second Test between India and Bangladesh in Dhaka, Kohli made sure to direct Shanto to take off his jersey as he was causing unnecessary delay.
Virat Kohli’s hard jab at Shanto
India scored 314 runs in their first inning, responding to Bangladesh’s 227 runs, but the host team could only muster 7 runs before the day’s play ended, seemingly in an effort to stall Bangladesh’s openers. At first slip, Kohli was fielding, and he was having none of it. In order to avoid playing too much before stumps, openers often do such actions. This was evident on Day 2 as well. Shanto started tying his shoelaces in the penultimate ball of the final over before stumps, which prompted a hard jab from Kohli. Earlier, he called for new bat from dressing room and then kept on the original bat he had.
The talismanic batter, motioned for the Bangladesh opener to remove his jersey as well. As he motioned for him to do the same, Kohli himself yanked at his own shirt.

Virat Kohli’s antics were captured on camera, which quickly went viral on social media. On the other side, even though the innings had barely started, Najmul Shanto sought to eat up as much time as he could by calling to his dressing room for a new bat.
