Ind vs Eng 5th Test: On the third day of the fifth and final Test match between India and England, the home team outplayed the opposition and controlled the play, winning by an innings and 64 runs to complete the series 2-1. In addition to the numerous runs and wickets claimed, there was a good deal of back-stabbing between the Indian close-in fielders and England’s batsmen.
Attempting to Win Over Rookie Shoaib Bashir
A verbal spat broke out between Jonny Bairstow and Shubman Gill, and Sarfaraz Khan also got involved, chirping a few remarks into the batters’ ears. Even though Bairstow one is now well-known to all, Sarfaraz made an attempt to win over rookie Shoaib Bashir.
With England eight down for 141, India appeared to be winning the match easily because the difference was still more than 100. But Bashir and Joe Root forged a resolute partnership that lasted for more than 11 overs, frustrating the Indian fielders as well. Then, Sarfaraz, fielding at silly point on forward short leg, made a hilarious remark, urging Bashir to end the match quickly so they could enjoy their time in the Himachal Pradesh snow mountains.
Sarfaraz’s Viral Remark Amidst On-Field Banter
“Maar yar jaldi, snow mein chalte hain upar. Chal, ghoom ke aayenge (Man, just finish it off quickly, we’ll go up in the snow. Get done with this, we’ll hang out),” Sarfaraz said as the video has gone viral.
After facing 29 balls, Ravindra Jadeja tested Bashir’s patience with a beauty. Kuldeep Yadav then brought the game to a close by forcing Joe Root to hit straight to the long-on fielder as India won the series 4-1 after losing the first game in Hyderabad. India now leads the WTC points standings with a 68.51 points percentage.
