IND vs IRE: Jasprit Bumrah marked his comeback in a splendid fashion, impressively clinching two wickets in his very first over. This is also Bumrah’s return to cricket after a long break of 11 months. Starting his performance in the opening T20I against Ireland, Bumrah commenced with a boundary but immediatly made a comeback by taking a wicket in just the next ball. The nightmare for Ireland did not end here as he plucked another wicket on the fifth ball.

Jasprit Bumrah returns in style
Bumrah promptly shown why he stands among the elite bowlers across various formats. He displayed his skills by dismantling Balbirnie’s stumps with a skillfully executed in-swinger that evaded the bat and pad to find its target just on the second ball. Ireland’s Lorcan Tucker entered the ground at the third batting position. Nevertheless, Bumrah’s prowess continued to pose a challenge as Tucker struggled to counter his attacks, resulting in two consecutive dot balls at the start of his innings. Employing a strategy of full deliveries aimed at the on-side, Bumrah unleashed his signature in-swinging yorker for the third ball of the over, nearly securing a wicket with his masterful delivery.
Bumrah, undeterred, sustained the pressure by claiming his second wicket within the same over, dismissing Tucker. Delivering yet another full ball, this time with a in-swing, Bumrah lured Tucker into an ill-timed scoop that resulted in an uncomplicated catch for wicketkeeper Sanju Samson.
