IND vs IRE: In the opening T20I of the three-match series against the Ireland National Cricket Team, the 22-year-old leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, representing the India National Cricket Team, immediately left a mark with the ball. On Friday, August 18, at the Malahide in Dublin, he secured a crucial wicket by dismissing the Ireland skipper, Paul Stirling.
Ravi Bishnoi’s incredible googly
While opening the innings for Ireland, captain Stirling emerged as the solitary batter who presented a respectable presence against the Indian bowlers. Nevertheless, his efforts to construct a substantial innings were foiled by Bishnoi’s deceptive wrong’un on the second delivery of the 6th over.
In this pivotal moment, the young leg-spinner delivered a length ball outside the off-stump. Stirling attempted an ambitious shot over extra cover, but he failed to anticipate the googly, resulting in the ball sharply spinning inwards and dismantling the stumps. Unfortunately for Stirling, his contribution was limited to a mere 11 runs off 11 balls, inclusive of one boundary, before being dismissed.
