Ind vs Nep Asia Cup 2023: The Indian team might have won their second group stage match of the Asia Cup 2023 quite comfortably but their performance was shambolic. Especially the fielding department was completely lacking.
In the first eight overs, the Indian team dropped 3 catches in total. And it is not just today, the team has been dodgy in fielding for a while now. The Men In Blues ranks at number nine in terms of catching efficiency with only 75.1 percent.
The team recuperated in later overs, but by then the damage was done. Skipper Rohit Sharma was in a very bad mood and it was completely visible. He stated that in the post-match interview and even during the rain interruption.

During the rain interruption in the 38th over, Rohit Sharma did not sit with the team in the dugout and went directly to the dressing room. The first eight overs saw dropped catches by Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and Ishan Kishan.
The skipper calmed down as the fielding improved as the match went on. But a midfield right before the second rain interruption saw him completely losing his cool. It was a very rare sight.
He was not at all pleased with the efforts and had every right to be disappointed. After all, we are just 2 months away from the ODI World Cup 2023 and this kind of fielding can result in huge disaster.
