IND vs NZ 1st Test: As Shubman Gill was dealing with a neck issue before the IND vs NZ 1st Test match in Bengaluru, he took a rest. Replacing him, Sarfaraz Khan was given the opportunity to come and play at two down. But, New Zealand’s Devon Conway didn’t leave a single chance to let him shine and took his catch in a flying beast manner. After that Sarfaraz, Sarfaraz struggled a lot. In recent tournaments, his performance was not up to the mark. Today, as the opportunity was served right on the platter for him, he once again missed it. He got out at duck and fans are complaining if he was trying to play a T20 shot in a Test match.

Right when Sarfaraz Khan missed a good opportunity to score runs and tried to hit a shot, Devon didn’t leave a chance and took a classy wicket. Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli who recently lost his title as the richest sportsperson of India, usually plays in the fourth position. But, after the neck stiffness issue of Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli gave up his position for the IND vs NZ 1st Test. He came 1 down, at 3rd spot and got out at duck after 9 deliveries by Will O’Rourke. Glenn Phillips took Virat Kohli’s catch and he returned to the pavilion. Some fans are showing respect to him while others are complaining about his missed opportunity. In the Test series Bangladesh, Virat couldn’t do much either.
First Time in the History
As Captain Rohit Sharma also got out first at 2 runs at Tim Southee’s ball, the Indian team faced a major heartbreak. This was the first time after 2010, that the Indian team lost 3 wickets for 10 runs in a Test match at their home. This is the third time overall.
Update: At the moment before lunch, India is playing at 34/6 in 24 Overs. Rishabh Pant is playing 15 off 41. Virat Kohli, Sarfaraz Khan, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja have returned to Pavillion at 0. Yashasvi Jaiswal got out at 13 off 63 by Will O’Rourke.
