IND vs NZ 3rd T20: The third and final Twenty20 match between India and New Zealand was played on Wednesday in Ahmedabad, and Team India came out swinging. India scored 234 runs while batting first, losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. The Kiwi team failed to reach the target, being bowled out for just 66 runs in 12.1 overs. In the final, Team India triumphed decisively by 168 runs. India’s victory was significantly influenced by Shubman Gill’s century innings, and following the game, he made a significant statement regarding it.
Shubman Gill told the secret behind the century
Shubman Gill, the rising star of the Indian team, wasn’t playing well in T20 prior to this game, but the team still supported him, and as a result, he scored a century in this game. Due to this innings, he was given the match of the match award, and afterward he said that “it is satisfying when your practise pays off. I was betting big on myself to win. Although it didn’t occur in the Sri Lanka series, it is encouraging to see it doing so now.He went on to say that everyone has a different way of hitting sixes. Hardik bhai advised me to stay true to myself and refrain from accepting any new obligations. There is no fatigue when you are representing your country. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to be a part of the squad across all three formats because it has always been my goal to represent India.”
Shubman Gill scores a brilliant century
In this victory of Team India, the whole team put their efforts, but Shubman Gill made headlines by playing a brilliant innings. Shubman hit 12 fours-7 sixes in 63 balls and scored an unbeaten 126 at a strike rate of 200. This was his first century in T20 International. Whereas Rahul Tripathi scored 44, Suryakumar Yadav scored 24 and Hardik Pandya scored 30 runs. Indian team made a big score of 234 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs.
