IND vs NZ: The T20I and ODI teams for Team India’s upcoming trip of New Zealand were unveiled by the BCCI selection committee on Monday, October 31.
India’s usual white-ball captain Rohit Sharma, his predecessor Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul are not included in either team.
The T20I team’s new captain is Hardik Pandya, and Rishabh Pant will serve as his deputy.
Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, and Sanju Samson are other batters in the team.
The T20I squad’s options for spinners include Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Kuldeep Yadav, while the alternatives for fast bowlers include Arshdeep Singh, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Umran Malik.
Rishabh Pant has been selected vice-captain, while Shikhar Dhawan will head the Indian ODI team.
The roster also includes batsmen like Shubman Gill, Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, and Sanju Samson.
The team’s spinning all-rounders are Washington Sundar and Shahbaz Ahmed, and the seam-bowling all-rounder is Shardul Thakur.
The top pacers on the team are Arshdeep Singh, Deepak Chahar, Kuldeep Sen, and Umran Malik, while the top spinners are Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav.
The Men in Blue are scheduled to play six white-ball games in New Zealand next month. The three ODIs will take place from November 25–30, while the three-match T20I series will be contested from November 18–22.
Wellington, Mount Maunganui, Napier, Auckland, Hamilton, and Christchurch are the six locations where the games will be played.
