Ekana stadium serves as LSG’s home ground

Further reports indicate that a new pitch will be created in preparation for the upcoming IPL tournament. The creation of a fresh pitch is seen as a move to ensure that the games are played on a high-quality surface that provides an even contest between the bat and the ball.

The Ekana Stadium is the home ground for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League. The removal of the pitch curator and the creation of a new pitch is expected to have a significant impact on the LSG’s performance in the upcoming IPL season. It remains to be seen whether the new pitch will favour the batting or bowling side, but it is clear that the LSG will be looking to make the most of the new surface.

Gautam Gambhir expresses his disappointment

The Lucknow pitch caused a controversy due to its substandard conditions, which were deemed unplayable by many. The Indian team captain, Hardik Pandya, was one of the prominent voices who criticized the pitch conditions. The former India cricketer and mentor of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Gautam Gambhir, also expressed his disappointment with the state of the pitch. As a result of these criticisms, the pitch curator has been dismissed and a new pitch will be created for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament.

The pitch conditions were so poor that New Zealand was only able to score 99 runs, the lowest ever for the team, when batting first. Chasing a target of 100 runs was not an easy task for the Indian team. The match was closely contested and came down to the wire, with Suryakumar Yadav hitting the winning runs to level the series.
