IND vs NZ: The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosted the third and final Twenty20 encounter between India and New Zealand on Wednesday (1 February). India put on a run-fest after choosing to bat first, scoring 234/4 in the allotted 20 overs for the hosts. Shubman Gill’s incredible knock stole the night. India’s opening batsmen helped the hosts to attain a massive total by scoring an unbeaten 126* off just 63 balls.
Suryakumar Yadav pulls off a stunner
Three New Zealand batsmen were sent back to the pavilion within the first two overs thanks to the excellent start Indian bowlers gave the match. India’s two wickets came from left-arm bowler Arshdeep Singh. In the midst of New Zealand’s innings, the hosts continued to dominate them as Hardik Pandya claimed another wicket. However, the more intriguing part was the catch taken by SKY.
The ball flew off the outer edge of Glenn Phillips’ bat and toward the second slip as he attempted to cut a soaring delivery close to his body. Meanwhile, Yadav was on watch as he precisely timed his jump to grab the ball. After pulling off a screaming catch, he let out a loud yell in happiness.
