IND vs NZ: India pulled off a stunning victory in the third and final T20I against New Zealand in Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Men in Blue have clinched the series 2-1 after a massive victory of 168 runs. In the first innings, opener Shubman Gill wreaked havoc as he registered his first T20I hundred. He also became just the fifth Indian batter to have centuries in all the three formats of the game. However, in the second inning bowlers didn’t show any mercy either as they bundled out Kiwis.

Umran Malik throws an absolute stunner

While Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh started early blows for New Zealand. Umran Makij threw an unbelievable delivery which gained everyone’s attention. This instance happened during the fifth over.

In the third ball of this over was bowled by Umran Malik, who had come to bowl the over wicket for Michael Bracewell. Bracewell attempted to smash the ball towards the point but was completely beaten by the pace. At such a rapid speed that Bracewell did not even have a time to react, the ball struck the ground and slammed within. Thus, he had to go back to the pavilion just after scoring 8 runs.

Prior to this, Shubman Gill garnered everyone’s attention as he smashed 126* off 63 balls. In his innings, he also hit 12 boundaries and seven sixes as he batted with the strike rate of 200. In the process, he broke several records, with one of them being the highest score by an Indian batter in T20Is- which was previously held by Virat Kohli.
