IND vs NZ: After the heart-breaking exit from T20 World Cup 2022, both the teams and their fans were hoping for an entertaining series, but it looks like as if the rain has some other intentions. As per the reports, second T20I between India and New Zealand could be cancelled too. Both the teams were scheduled to play their second match today in Mount Maunganui following the cancellation of the first game in Wellington without the toss. But the sky is very cloudy, and the afternoon and evening are expected to bring heavy downpours. For the upcoming few hours, stormy weather is likely to persist.
What is the weather forecast for second IND vs NZ T20I?
The latest forecast from NZ’s MetService predicts for the occasional shower, which can be heavy at times. This afternoon, there will be more rain. Hail and thunderstorms are also possible.
According to AccuWeather, it will be generally cloudy with reducing breezes, a few light morning showers, and a few heavy afternoon showers. The evening is expected to see scattered showers; otherwise, it will be partly overcast.
With nonstop rain expected for the game on Sunday, the IND versus NZ 2nd T20 could also be cancelled. At the beginning of the game, there is just a 6% probability of rain; but, as the game goes on, the risk considerably increases, peaking at 64% during the mid-innings break.

First T20I between IND vs NZ was also cancelled
A washout is expected given the forecast, which is not the best choice for Hardik Pandya and company. The Men in Blue were slated for a T20 revival, and a match in Wellington has already been stolen from them. Another loss would be harmful to the team’s morale and would prevent young players from making an impact.
