IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023: KL Rahul made a triumphant return to the Indian team by achieving a century against arch-rivals Pakistan. After a prolonged absence due to injury and subsequent surgery, Rahul reached his century with ten boundaries and two sixes.
KL Rahul plays classy knock
KL Rahul entered the crease following opener Shubhman Gill’s dismissal by Shaheen Afridi in the 18th over. Making his comeback, Rahul began cautiously but swiftly shifted to an aggressive style. On the Reserve Day, he unleashed an onslaught on the renowned Pakistan bowling lineup, showcasing his dominance all over R. Premadasa Stadium. The remarkable moment arrived in the 47th over when KL Rahul achieved a spectacular century in just 100 balls.
Rahul’s last international appearance was in March 2023 against Australia. Following the Australia series, he sustained an injury during the IPL, leading to an extended period of absence. However, he has now regained fitness after sitting out India’s initial two matches in the Asia Cup.
