IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023: In the opening match against Pakistan at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Saturday, the emerging Indian batsman Ishan Kishan delivered a remarkable performance. He was dismissed at a score of 82 runs. However, Pakistani bowler Haris Rauf‘s send-off reaction to Ishan Kishan has now taken social media by storm, with some even referring to it as way too intense and unnecessary.
Haris Rauf’s fiery reaction
The Indian team was in a very struggling position when Ishan took to the crease, but he proceeded to create a formidable partnership of 138 runs for the fifth wicket, teaming up with Hardik Pandya. This partnership successfully rebuilt India’s innings, with both batsmen ultimately achieving half-centuries before their respective departures.
In the 38th over of the game, Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf managed to dismiss Ishan Kishan, who had scored 82 runs. What stood out, however, was Rauf’s animated reaction to this crucial wicket, drawing the attention of the entire cricket community. Rauf bowled a rapid back-of-a-length delivery outside the off-stump, and Kishan attempted to execute a pull shot.
Unfortunately for Kishan, the ball made contact with the bottom edge of his bat, sending it high into the air towards mid-on. Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, easily completed the catch. Rauf was visibly charged up by this wicket and repeatedly made hand gestures, urging Kishan to vacate the crease promptly.

Ishan Kishan’s batting display was nothing short of clinical, as he has now achieved the remarkable feat of recording four consecutive half-centuries in One Day Internationals (ODIs). This achievement puts him on par with former India captain MS Dhoni, who achieved a similar feat against England in 2011.
