Ind Vs Pak Asia Cup 2023: We are just a few hours away from the high-octane clash between India and Pakistan but the tension is not going away. Both teams had a net session in Pallekele ahead of the clash to get used to the lighting conditions.
That is when the Indian camp and the whole country got a mini scare. Both camps wanted to practice under lights to see how the ball moves. And among those players, one was Virat Kohli.
In fact, he was one of the first who went into the nets to face the bowlers. The scare happened as Kohli was facing Mohammad Siraj and one of the deliveries hit him right in the helmet.
A Mini Scare
The incident was a little bit scary as head injuries are the most brutal thing in cricket. We have seen so many cases of concussions and even some players losing their lives because of a head injury.
But thankfully there was no reason to worry as Virat showed thumbs up immediately after getting hit in the head. Just like Marnus Labushagne did to Jofra Archer in Ashes but in a friendly way.
One thing to worry about is that the reports have suggested that Virat Kohli did not bat in the nets after the hit. But the player looked comfortable and in high spirits after the practice.
Ind vs Pak Asia Cup 2023: No Injury
We have got no update regarding an injury and even Kohli looked absolutely fine after the practice. So, there is nothing to worry about as he is completely focused. The scare did not affect Siraj as well as everything was okay and he looked fine as well.
That is a good sign before the Ind vs Pak Asia Cup 2023 clash because we have seen many bowlers losing the will to bowl once they hit someone in the head as it can be a tragedy.
