Wasim Akram slams Mickey Arthur for ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ comment
Arthur’s claim that the India vs. Pakistan match in Ahmedabad appeared more like a BCCI event than an ICC one since he didn’t hear enough “Dil Dil Pakistan” in the stadium wasn’t well received by the crowd and some former cricketers. A veteran of the game, Wasim Akram, took aim at Arthur and said he should be discussing Pakistan’s ambitions for the game rather than deflecting focus with such remarks.

Akram yelled at Arthur in a conversation on A-Sports, demanding to know how he intended to prepare his batters to face the unidentified spinner Kuldeep Yadav. The remarks Arthur made didn’t make sense to Akram. “Bhaiya hame ye batao aap logo ne kya plan kiya tha? (Brother, tell me what was the plan?) Kuldeep Yadav ko kaese khelna hai? (How did you prepare to play Kuldeep Yadav?) That’s what we want to hear. Not this random stuff. You think you can get away with this. No, you can’t, unfortunately,” he said.
Shoaib Akhtar slam Pakistan team and management
Moin Khan, a former teammate of Wasim Akram, agreed and stated that Arthur is merely attempting to divert attention. The BCCI deserves kudos for staging the competition in a way that allowed Moin to maximise their “home advantage.” Shoaib Akhtar Commented on India win over Pakistan in World Cup 2023. He clearly seen soo disappointed with the team. He said in a video that, “You have seen the match, It’s really disappointing. I am feeling a lot of pain and sadness. We will not be able to win consistently. Pakistan has a bad caption, No doubt about it. From management to PCB chairman, everyone is nil by nil. We have to face the media. Now what should we respond to this performance? I don’t trust this team.”
