Ind vs Pak T20 World Cup 2024: Naseem Shah was on fire against India on Sunday as he thrived on this rain-hit pitch to topple down India’s batting order. Every Pakistan bowler was phenomenal against India.
It was a tough pitch to bat on and Pakistan bowlers were on fire. They were disciplined and kept Indian batsmen on bay all the time. As a result, the ICT collapsed on a below-par score giving Pakistan an easy chase.
Naseem Shah started the wicket-taking ceremony by sending Virat Kohli back to the pavilion. And after that, no one was able to keep their wicket except Rishabh Pant, who might have played his ugliest inning.
Naseem Shah On Fire
It was all Naseem’s show as he completely dominated India’s batting line-up. Not only did he take three brilliant wickets, he did not let any batsmen score freely. He took 3 wickets in his 4 overs with an economy of just 5.75.
He was aided by Harsi Rauf who also took three wickets in 3 overs but was a tad bit expensive. At one point, he was even on a hattrick when he dismissed Pandya and Jadeja on consecutive deliveries.
Mohammed Amir was also very good and took two wickets. Meanwhile, Shaheen Afridi was not at his best but was able to send Rohit Sharma back to the pavilion which was a huge boost for Pakistan.
Ind vs Pak T20 World Cup 2024: Rishabh Pant Fightback
It might have been the ugliest inning that Pant has ever played, but he was the reason that India was able to go past 100 runs. He might have gotten 15 lifelines, but he made it count as he scored 41 runs in 32 deliveries.
India scored 119 runs as they got all out in the 19th over. Men In Blues are 15 runs short and Pakistan might have already secured the match with their sensational bowling.
