Ind vs Pak T20 World Cup 2024 has been delayed due to an early rain shower. The rain has stopped but the covers are still there on the pitch and the match referees have updated the match schedule according to the weather.
The fans are lucky as the rain shower was not that bad and now the sky in New York has been cleared and it looks like the match will resume very soon with no over lost. But there is another concern that has been raised because of the rain.
Nassau County International Cricket Stadium is the most talked about stadium in the world and every talk has been about the bad quality of the pitch and outfield. It might be really dangerous for the players now.
Ind vs Pak T20 World Cup 2024: Toss Update
The toss was delayed by 30 minutes and took place at 8:00 PM. Thankfully, no overs were lost and we will get a full T20i match. But there is worrisome news for the Indian team as Babar Azam won the toss.
The Pakistan skipper decided to bowl first which is very bad news for India. Only twice, a team batting first has been able to score 100 runs on this pitch in ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
With the bowling attack so scary, Pakistan has won half of the match already. Shaheen Afridi will have to take responsibility and strike early. Virat Kohli and Rohit Shama would like to keep their wickets for a while.
Dangerous Outfield
The pitch and outfield of Nassau County were dangerous already for batsmen. But with rain, the moisture has increased on the pitch and the outfield as well. Not only it will be more difficult to bat now, but fielding will also be 10 times harder.
Surya Kumar Yadav stated that you can’t prepare for situations like these. They will somehow adapt to the pitch, but fielding here will be so dangerous. There will be so many patches that can injure any player.
