India might have clutched the Ind vs Pak T20 World Cup 2024 match but Shivam Dube is under lot of scrutiny after his abysmal performance.

Ind vs Pak T20 World Cup 2024: Shivam Dube had his worst performance against Pakistan on Sunday. It is a kind of performance that he would like to forget as soon as possible.

He had a negative impact on the game with both bat, ball, and on-field and the fans are not happy. They are even questioning his selection, considering that a player like Rinku Singh has not even made the squad.

Every player has a bad game and Dube can bounce back. After all, his career in Chennai Super Kings is a perfect example of the fact that he can bounce back. But, does the Indian team have that kind of time to give Dube?

Selecting Dube A Mistake?

After an underwhelming performance with the bat against Ireland, Dube failed to even open his scoring against Pakistan. He was dismissed on the first delivery he faced and went back on a golden duck.

He was not allowed to bowl and even dropped a catch of Mohammed Rizwan in the early phases of the game. The catch could have proven costly as Rizwan was the only one who was scoring runs for Pakistan.

India might have won the game but this performance by Dube has raised a lot of questions. If Dube is not bowling, what is he bringing to the table? Because, surely both Rinku Singh and Yashaswi Jaiswal are better batsmen than him.

And as we all know, Dube struggles in the seaming track, so why do we keep trying him on these surfaces where even the experts of seaming tracks are struggling. We hope that he comes back stronger and proves everyone wrong because when Dube is on fire no team is safe against him.
